The client wanted a "Jazzfest" themed wedding at the fairgrounds in New Orleans. I built this back drop entirely from materials found in dumpsters around the city.
I just finished this knife display table for Coutelier NOLA. It is made of red cedar, Spanish cedar, and reclaimed barn cypress from Labadieville, LA. (Thanks, Henry Bouvier) The horizontal hinged door has two reclaimed railroad spikes as handles (Thanks, Don Puebla). I used my router table to create the rabbets to inset the glass into the table's surface and also to create the grooves that allow the two oak panel doors to slide. The legs are doweled together with oak dowels. Photo cred: Jacqueline Blanchard
